Remote fault finding via modem link allows for access to the system from anywhere in the world, enabling remote fault investigation and correction.
Identifying the fault remotely becomes part of the decision making process of whether or not to despatch an engineer to site. If the fault cannot be rectified remotely and an engineer has to attend site, the system allows us to guarantee that any spare parts necessary to carry out a repair, will be awaiting the engineers arrival at site.
Another feature of the system of particular help and assistance where operating staff undertake other duties during the day is SMS messaging. This feature programs the system to send an SMS message to a series of mobile phones in order of precedence.
If we assume the operator is in the grounds, his mobile will receive the SMS message. By viewing the message he activates the receive mode and the control system awaits the operators return and attention to the displayed fault.
