Do You Need to Replace Your Cremators to Upgrade Your Crematorium?

Combustion Solutions engineers have developed a control system which when fitted to existing cremators, produces some startling results. One site where the ‘Optomise’ system was fitted have seen their average cremation times drop from 100 minutes to 70 minutes and are delighted with the resultant saving in revenue costs. This same customer has seen his emergency call-out costs reduce by 70% and the availability of his cremators increased dramatically.

A control system in useUsing only industry standard parts available at a number of high street outlets, plus all relevant information, including drawings, access codes and software disks, being handed over on commissioning, gives control back to the crematorium operator.

Most manufacturers will provide a 12-month guarantee on their control cards and again replacements are only available from them. The Opto 22 modules are guaranteed for the life of the system, something unique in this industry, which demonstrates their confidence in their parts.

Remote fault finding via modem link with the site allows our engineers access to the system from anywhere in the world. A reported fault can be investigated from a remote location.

Identifying the fault remotely becomes part of the decision making process of whether or not to despatch an engineer to site. If the fault cannot be rectified remotely and an engineer has to attend site, the system allows us to guarantee that any spare parts necessary to carry out a repair, will be awaiting the engineers arrival at site.

Another feature of the system of particular help and assistance where operating staff undertake other duties during the day is SMS messaging. This feature programs the system to send an SMS message to a series of mobile phones in order of precedence.

If we assume the operator is in the grounds, his mobile will receive the SMS message. By viewing the message he activates the receive mode and the control system awaits the operators return and attention to the displayed fault.
